If you wet media tumble this is an absolute must have.
This makes separating the stainless pins a breeze.
I love the base with built in strainer for the pins.
And the lid with built in strainer to rinse the brass
Wish I bought it months ago when I got the tumbler.

I’ve only used it twice on cases cleaned with walnut shell media… both times my cases came out of the separator with specks of blue plastic all over them. I’ve had to re-clean the cases twice due to the plastic.. I have since throw some gravel into the separator and tumbled them hoping to knock some of the rough edges off it but have not had the opportunity to run my cases back through it to see if the plastic issues have been solved…

Overall, I’m disappointed, if the plastic continues to appear on cases in the future, I’ll have to toss the separator in the trash as obviously this is not a good thing.

The seperator works just as it should but does have some downsides which is to be expected from this (that’s why it still earned 5 stars). It was designed to separate the steel pin media or dry media from your brass after cleaning and I must say it does so flawlessly. The cons however that one should know before buying is,
1: is very loud when tumbling the brass (brass clangs together like in wet tumbler but without water to dampen noise.
2: it is kind of bulky if you don’t have a work bench specifically for reloading (also a plus because can separate a good amount of brass at one time)
3: construction is good but the container that is included is a little flimsy when trying to tumble without top, but with top works just fine
    The pros of this seperator,
1: seperates brass and media fast and without much hassle
2: can separate a good amount of brass and media at one time (not a full load of the big frankford tumbler

I used a Thumblers Tumbler for years with a meat truck ( large meat tray – tall sides ) and a copper mining strainer .. did the job, but this has so many options .. one can follow the u-tube vids or strike out on your own process — does the job in so many ways .. not one pin lost to the process .. have fun

Very quick and easy way to separate dry media from cases. I have no need to separate cases from wet media at this time, so I cannot rate it.
I would have given it 5 stars, but some (a very little) media escapes when separating.

The case is fine, including a screen and pour points. The basket is ok, easy enough to open and close. However, the handles just click into receptacles on the sides, and are very loose and clumsy. They will not hold if you fill the thing up even half full with brass, which, granted, your probably not supposed to do anyway(i wouldn’t know as I threw away the distructions).

If you require such a tool(i use mine for cleaning mud off of brass) I would look elsewhere.
