The Mark XIX Magnum Research Desert Eagle is a gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol with a 7 round capacity in .50 AE and 8 round capacity in .44 Magnum. The gun measures 10.75″ with a 6″ barrel, or 14″ with a 10″ barrel. Weighing approx 3.5 to 4 lbs the Desert Eagle is one of the most powerful semi-automatic handguns in the world

The Desert Eagle Mark XIX features an integral M1913 Picatinny Rail on the barrel from the end of the chamber to right behind the front sight and standard ambidextrous safety levers. Other features include a full Weaver style accessory rail on the underside of the barrel, a Picatinny rail gas block, a patented Lothar Walther polygonal rifled barrel (standard or integrally suppressed) enclosed in an aluminium M1913 rail forend. This feature enables fast change out of barrels.

Developed in association with BFR custom guns, this version of the Desert Eagle pistols is hand built one at a time, and then tested for accuracy, function and reliability by a dedicated BFR pistol smith. This hand-built weapon features an 8.4 inch barrel and a 5.75 inch chromed barrel extension, both custom rifled with compensating gas expansion ports at the muzzle. Its special construction features include a tungsten filled bolt, a titanium firing pin, a hard chrome bolt carrier assembly, gas expansion chamber and feed ramp.
