An affordable reproduction, the Traditions44; 1860 Army has the same look and feel of the original 1860 Army Colt without a huge price tag. The1860 Army is a 6-shot, cap and ball .44cal revolver, designed by Samuel Colt between 1856 and 1860. This replica features walnut grips, steel frame with a brass back strap and trigger guard as well as an octagonal barrel and open top designed similar to the original although this model features a traditional rounded barrel.

Traditions™ offers 1873 single action revolvers that are true to the originals, but with updated safety features. This model has been designed to fire Steel shot shells in both 2-3/4″ and 3″. They are chambered for .44 cal. Modelled after the highly sought after Pre-1899 guns, these feature a brass trigger guard, a brass back strap and a case hardened frame.

The 1860 Army Revolver is the most widely used pistol of the Civil War. Being a cap & ball revolver, it was easy to load on the battlefield and very popular with cavalry, artillery and infantry troops. All Traditions’ black powder revolvers are accurate reproductions.
